Hostel and Off-Campus Housing

At Intercollege, we take pride in our ability to house a great number of our first year International students on-campus. Furthermore, we are able to offer our students a wide variety of off-campus housing choices in the area around the college.

What is on-campus accommodation like?

The official Intercollege residence units offer students the opportunity to experience the freedom of independent living but within the safety of closely supervised, communal living, in modern, purpose-built units.

The Hostel is a modern apartment-styled community located within walking distance from the main building of Intercollege. Each unit offers the following accommodation amenities:

Students are responsible for payment of their own electricity, water and telephone bills. Students are requested to sign a 10 month contract.

Situated in one of the most prestigious suburbs in Nicosia, close to shops, cinemas, sporting facilities, ten-pin bowling, night clubs, pubs and international hotels, the hostel gives students the opportunity to enjoy Nicosia at its finest.

How do I apply?

Students wishing to enter the Hostel must fill in the Hostel Application Form and submit it to the Student Affairs Department, to the attention of the Housing Officer.

Where can I get assistance for off-campus accommodation?

The Housing Office was set up to meet the needs of students who wish to rent apartments and/or houses off campus. The Housing Office, in cooperation with estate agencies throughout Nicosia, assists students in finding off campus accommodation. It provides students with information about lease agreements, furniture rental etc. For those students without personal transportation most properties within the area of the College are served by a regular public bus service.

How much will it cost?

(A) Hostel:
3075 Euro for a 10 month period / per person, including common expenses.
(B) Off-campus Housing
The lease periods for most housing is a minimum of twelve months and rent rates range from 256 - 512 Euro per month depending on your requirements and the condition of the apartment. These rates do not include water, electricity or heating charges and transportation.
Where will I eat?

Most students take advantage of the self-catering facilities because often it is much cheaper than eating out and it allows flexibility in meal times. The Intercollege Gallery Restaurant offers a wide variety of cooked meals and a cost effective meal plan to all students.

For those students not wishing to cook, apart from the College facilities, almost all fast food and take-out places have very effective and fast delivery services. Also traditional "tavernas" close by offer excellent and inexpensive home cooked meals. The Main Cafeteria also offers snacks and other beverages.
